For the period between May 14 and October 15, I'll be releasing a new song every Monday. Thats 23 songs in 23 weeks -- shout out to Michael Jordan. To put it in perspective, The Vaselines released 19 songs before they disbanded, so its safe to say that as of October 15 I will be 4 better than Kurt Cobain's favorite band.

When finished, the entire collection will hopefully bring to mind ambitious and eclectic pop albums like The White Album or 69 Love Songs. The idea also owes a great deal of gratitude to my man Yeezy and his G.O.O.D. Fridays. I was gonna call mine B.E.T.T.E.R. Mondays but decided against it cause he seems like he'd hold a grudge. Instead I chose the title of a song I wrote and may include in the project at some point.

Even though I do have a bunch of songs written, I don't have anywhere close to 23. And as of week 1, I have only my first recording finished. My hope is that I'll get into the groove and become so efficient at writing, recording and mixing on a deadline that I'll not just scrape by, I'll thrive.

Each song will be free for download during its debut week. When the next song is released you'll be able to stream all previous songs for free or download them for 99 cents from my bandcamp site.

Thanks for reading and listening. The songs are below, from newest song at the top down to oldest.

Here is Jmo's latest release-- a single entitled, "Don't Give It Away," and its B-side, "The Strangest Places People's Minds Go." The A-side is all about giving it away, and specifically how you shouldn't do it. The B-side is about the odd places to where people's minds wander, specifically the very oddest of the odd. Also, they're both about 9/11.

Like all other good jews when winter sets upon their frosted deviated septums, Jmo realized he must write a Christmas song to provide warmth (by burning the money he makes from it) and holiday cheer (for those psychologically capable of cheer).

Santa, If You Do Exist is the Christmas song that resulted from these modest ambitions. It deals with the eternal conflict between faith, love, gifts and, of course, whether or not eskimos really exist. Stream it here:
